Proper choice and preparation of polymeric materials reflects a rising evolution of European Union legislative claims on medical materials, as well as advanced possibilities of their processing in modern healthcare field. Increasing pressure on polymeric materials quality among their patients propriety are however negatively affected by financial demands of the whole process. The main objective of the proposed project is optimizing of appropriate processes (extrusion, co-extrusion, injection moulding) on the basis of theoretical and experimental analysis of rheological characteristics of investigated materials. Current molecular based constitutive equations predicting polymers behavior will be utilized for this purpose. Intended experiments will be carried out using modern rheometric and processing devices. Acceptability of tested materials for patients (e.g. catheterization) will be emphasized.
