The project focuses on modernizing water and wastewater treatment processes in the Czech Republic, where increasing pollution and stricter regulations demand higher efficiency. Its main objective is to improve conventional treatment operations, particularly mixing during flocculation, to reduce chemical and energy consumption. It includes the development of new mixer designs and their validation in real operating conditions, as well as pilot-scale testing of advanced oxidation processes. The expected outcome is more cost-effective and environmentally sustainable technologies that strengthen the resilience of water management systems.
