New techniques and new technologies enlarged possibilities in experimental field and allowed arising of the novel noninvasive methods that are usable for better description of the turbulent flow structure and measurements of the local values of the velocity vector and density. Those experimental methods become standalone field and required especial attention.
- Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA, PDA).
- Visual methods (Particle Image Velocimetry – PIV, Particle tracking – PT).
- Ultrasonic Velocity Profiler (UVP).
- Radiometric methods of local concentration measurement (gamma-ray, tomography).
